Ad for Foster’s beer
These three Fosters good call ads were all well done! The opening is appealing—the outside of a small cabin on a sunny beach with lots of pretty girls sun bathing and swimming—an excellent choice for a beer advertisement (and the hills too), and then Brad and Dan get a call from a prospective client and answer simultaneously. (I have always loved going to beaches to swim myself, or just to take a stroll.) I think it was funny the way the two young men kept talking at the same time, which always provides comic effect—provided it is not overused, of course! And the girls standing outside on the beach were certainly delightful and charming. And let us not forget those points at the end: the first ad, the two women turn around, taking offense to what they just overheard; the second ad, one of the men says, “Your uncle was a space invader.”I guess that beer really does keep people from wanting to lean into each other’s space, in a way that pickles can’t! Finally, there’s that last one about the fellow wanting to get a tattoo of his girlfriend’s name.
I really like beer. I always have one drink a day. Unfortunately, at the moment I’m in the United States, where Fosters beer is hard to get hold of. But who knows, maybe some day I’ll take a trip to Australia and visit the beaches—and when I do, I will be sure and try a drink of that Foster’s beer!
